Sri Lanka's confidence in being secure in Pakisthan was shattered by terrorist attack on its players and the tour was cancelled. This reveals the state of affairs in Pakisthan. The civillian govt. recently buckled under Taliban pressure and this has emboldened the terrorists further. I tell this again, International sporting event in Pakisthan should be banned by sporting bodies. The UN needs to take drastic action to clear Pakisthan of fundamentalist elements, as the present govt. seems to be operating under the influence of ISI and is unable to tackle the Taliban. Pakisthan is worse than Iraq at this time and requires seriousattention to eliminate the possinility of further turbulence in the country. If things are allowed to continue like this, Pakisthan wil become a problem state for the world by becoming safe heven for terrorists who threaten world peace.

@Atif
For your:
Praz, I think you’re overlooking the fact that the security was adequate. Many of Lahore’s policeforce sacrificed their lives to protect the Sri Lankan cricket team who all managed to avoid fatal injuries

 If security was adequate, why were the cricketers not taken in a bullet proof van and were taken in a common bus? Is this what you mean by security in a country full of terrorists? And you mentioned about fatal injuries...does Pakisthan have any time or respect left to wait till any foreigner or any International celebrity is fatally wounded in Pakisthani soil?

And for:
The PCB and Pakistani authorities were commended by the Sri Lankan Prime Minister himself for the way in which they conducted themselves in the aftermath of this attack.

 Do you think commending the security forces for their efforts will bring them back? Will the cricketers forget the trauma they faced? People like you who are just happy with the way things are, are the reason for Pakisthan to be in the state it is right now. I dont blame you but just sharing my opininon.

Praz, I think you're overlooking the fact that the security was adequate. Many of Lahore's policeforce sacrificed their lives to protect the Sri Lankan cricket team who all managed to avoid fatal injuries. I think the adequecy of the security arrangements is one area where peopl are too quick to be critical. The PCB and Pakistani authorities were commended by the Sri Lankan Prime Minister himself for the way in which they conducted themselves in the aftermath of this attack.

Sadly, Pakistan will pay the price for this event. There will be no international cricket on Pakistani soil for a considerable amount of time owing to the small-mindedness of stupid ignorant individuals who give Pakistanis a bad name.

But what the world neds is to rise above this and instead of playing the blame game, we need to stand united. By pissing and moaing and making knee-jerk reactions, we simply play into the terrorists' hands!

Ban Pakisthan from conducting any of the international events and tourists should completely stop going to Pakisthan. The government is rigged! They even negotiate with terrorists! Initially none of the Pakisthani government ''Officials'' were willing to admit that Mumbai carnage was caused by terrorists from Pakisthani soil, they went on to allege that there is no terrorist activity in Pakisthan. How long can they keep acting blind to these terrorists that they themselves have nurtured? How long will that so called Government of Pakisthan stand? Its all a matter of days before the whole country falls into terrorist hands unless the Pakisthanis admit their mistake and counter the terrorists that they themselves have nurtured so well. And this is quite obvious that Pakisthani security is so not adequate!
